According to the Japan Weather Association(JWA), the cherry blossoms would bloom sometimes around the end of March 2016, in Tokyo. However, the blossoming season varies each year and the peak bloom period lasts only a few days. Please check the latest information with JWA.

The main road through the park features 1,200 cherry trees, making it one of the foremost destinations in Tokyo.

Tokyo Midtown

When in full bloom, sakura street is turned to sakura tunnel. At night, their illuminated blossoms create a bewitching mood.

Access:
Take the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line from Ebisu Station to Roppongi Station (6minutes). 6 minutes' walk from Roppongi Station.

Meiji Jingu Gaien

The pedestrian walkway has 500 cherry trees in a row. Each varietal has a different blooming point, so you can enjoy the way they gradually bloom in succession.

Access:
Take the JR Yamanote Line from Ebisu Station to Yoyogi Station (8 minutes). From Yoyogi Station, take the JR Sobu Line to Sendagaya Station (2 minutes). 10 minutes' walk from Sendagaya Station.

Chidorigafuchi Ryokudo Park

The promenade which 260 cherry trees are in full bloom, making you feel as if you are strolling through a tunnel of flowers.

Access:
Take the JR Yamanote Line from Ebisu Station to Shibuya Station (2 minutes). From Shibuya Station, take the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line to Hanzomon Station (12minutes). 6minutes' walk from Hanzomon Station.

 

Hama-Rikyu Gardens

As you cross the bridge spanning the pond, you can enjoy the water to see the reflections of cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Take the JR Yamanote Line from Ebisu Station to Hamamatsucho Station (15 mitnutes). 15 minutes' walk from Hamamatsucho Station.
